This quiz is just for fun. I do not agree with any of the stereotypes listed on this quiz nor do I believe that they apply to entire nations or cultures. Enjoy.

I disagree with every stereotype on this quiz. The only reason I created this was for entertainment. If you find something too offensive than name it in the comments and I will gladly change and or remove it.

The joke is that Fins act and don't think like they aren't Nordic or Scandinavian, even though they are (well at least they are Nordic, weather or not Finland should be considered part of Scandinavia is debatable, but I've met people who think that Denmark is Scandinavian for some reason so, yah).

Well, Scandinavia is a geographical term for the Scandinavian peninsula and includes Norway and Sweden. Denmark has been historically included in Scandinavia (as well as Finland when it was a part of the Swedish kingdom). Nordic is a cultural and political term that includes also Finland and Iceland, that are not part georgraphical of Scandinavia.

I wonder where there stereotype of patriotic Americans come from? It seems to me that the United States is perhaps the least patriotic country. (With the possible exception of Germany). Certainly there is a significant amount of self-loathing among the coastal elite.

Americans are EXTREMELY patriotic when foreigners attack our country. We whine and complain and otherwise fully exploit our first amendment rights, but let a foreigner say anything negative about

our country and they've started a war! And American patriotism extends to those of us who live abroad as well... Let an expat detect

an American accent in a tourist and they become instant hosts, even

if they wouldn't even give the time of day to the tourist if they were state-side.

I guess it's because the US used to be a lot more nationalistic than it is now. More and more people, mostly young people, are loosing faith in the country after they hear about things like Vietnam. I never really got stereotypes anyways. They always used to confuse me and contradict each other.

None of these are supposed to be accurate. They are what ignorant people think of the countries not what the countries are actually like. Also, nobody has called the Netherlands Holland in the past 200 years and Nepal has a very large Buddhist minority.

It's making fun of the fact that people in the west sometimes can't tell the difference between the two.
