Curious, how did more people think a turtle is an amphibian than a tortoise? I'm surprised they're not on par.

Probably because most turtles spend large parts of their lives in or near water, like amphibians, whereas tortoises are land-dwellers.

I'm a bit of a reptile enthusiast, so I'm always amazed when I found out how many people don't know what I assume is common knowledge. Things like, "of course turtles are amphibians, because they live in water."
