By what reckoning does Metro Harrisburg have 1M people, to say nothing of 1.33M?

List the counties you're including...

Uhh the source is citypopulation.de where they say that is the population for the Harrisburgh metro area.

The Harrisburg metro area has 577k people, not 1.3 million

They lump in a bunch of U.S. Government defined "metropolitan areas" that go strictly by counties, whether the county is 300 square kilometers or 50,000 square kilometers. Whether the county contains thoroughly removed separate urbanized areas or not. The Harrisburg statistic is a "Consolidated Statistical Area" that has more to do with marketing and broadcast areas.

The United States Census Bureau does publish statistics for legitimate urbanized areas, but most people, including forever citypopulation.de get fooled by or are to lazy to research or love to publish bigger numbers.

The legitimate United States Census Bureau population for the Harrisburg Urbanized Area is 444,474.

Stockton, California United States Census Bureau urbanized area: 370,583

To echo some earlier comments... I think you should accept "Fort Myers" for Cape Coral and "Space Coast" for Melbourne.

I will accept the Fort Myers as it is in the Cape Coral metro area, but idk about Space Coast.

If you search it on Google Maps it is the second highest thing. It is basically due east of Tampa Bay area.

Pretty weird that your 1m+ cities got more attention than mine and I submitted it one week before yours. Also those are not metro areas, those are urban areas.

Hmmm, well idk then, it does like yours does have plenty of takes, maybe when people wanted to search up the name of the quiz, they typed in mine first idk.

I prefer they do metropolitan areas.

I hate when I look up biggest cities and doesn't have Denver, Salt Lake, or Oklahoma City. Its like bruh, maybe those who have address specifically "denver, colorado", isnt gonna be 1 million, but saying less than 1 mil doesnt feel right to me.

OKC with just Cleveland County is 2 mil. Tusla is 2 hours away and if count it with the places on way, thats 3 mil.

Salt Lake County alone has 1.3 mil, but add Utah County and now 2 mil. When add everything in area like Ogden valley and talking upwards 3 mil.

Denver County with Arapahoe County is well over 1 mil, but when start adding Boulder, Adams and Jefferson, Denver is well over 3mil.
