Lock and key. A mechanical or electronic fastening device and the device used to operate it (to lock or unlock it). The idiomatic expression “under lock and key” means “safely guarded or locked away.”

Pen and paper. A combination which can be used for writing. (as pen-and-paper) Performed via writing on paper, such as filling in a form, doing an exam, writing a document, etc.

Marks & Spencer. A British multinational retailer of clothing and of beauty, home and food products.

Wear and tear. Damage or depreciation resulting from ordinary use.
