Nice idea, couple of things you might want to fix though: Byelorussia and Ukraine were both part of the Soviet Union in 1950, Rangoon should be blue (Naypyidaw is the current capital), and Ceylon and Sri Lanka are the same country just have different names (Like Burma and Myanmar).

Ottawa is spelled wrong. Although Byelorusssia and Ukraine were UN members, they were not recognized as independent.

It does seem that I spelled Ottawa incorrectly. And for the second comment, I agree. They were part of the Soviet Union, I just listed them for that the Wikipedia article had them.
