I know you say the synonyms aren't exact... but 'conservatory' for 'garden' seems too much of a stretch to me? (I accept that my limited knowledge of Beatles songs is the main reason I didn't get this). Good quiz regardless :)

Same with having "Obsidian" as a synonym for "Black".

I agree. Perhaps...arbor or arboretum...?

Glad you liked it. I thought conservatory was a stretch myself but I love the song so I had to find a way to put it on here!

Agreed for conservatory I tried study and university.. If you want something for garden yard would be a good option I think.

There might be better ones, I can only think of specific (parts of) gardens though, like flowerbed or orchard.

ANything but conservatory would do ;) (as long as it is green an outside and not a building)

Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for quizzes like this for those of us who breathed the air before 1980.

For some reason "(This Dove Has Launched)" really cracked me up! Well done!

Me too. I imagined someone just stotting a bird into the air.

I also like the picture of the blue-ringed octopus - of of the most poisonous marine creatures in the world! Puts a different image in my mind...

Awesome quiz! But of course for your commentary on having been inspired by others’ previous quizzes, you really should have said, “I Make Do With a Small Amount of Assistance from My Companions”. ;-)

Fun Quiz, Should do similar quizzes for other artists.

The writhe and scream clue won't accept "&" in the answer where it is allowed in other "and" clues.

Don't know if an antonym one already exists, but that would also be cool. There goes the rain, you heard him sitting here, he hates me etc etc

I only missed the songs I don't know - I've probably heard them at some point but didn't know the titles. Was also 'fooled' by dummy, I was thinking mannequin or pacifier

Yes the only one I missed was Fixing a Hole. I've never heard of it, and I even thought it but didn't try it as it seemed too improbable for a Beatles song to be named that :P I'm listening to the song now..,

I love these kinds of quizzes. My only gripes are using "Cent" instead of British currency, and using oak for Norwegian Wood, which is a reference to pine.
