One country that I did not include was Italy. The legend for its Koeppen map does include Hot Desert/Bwh climates, but for the life of me I was unable to confirm this, despite looking at climate charts for towns up and down Sicily, southern Italy, and making sure to look at any offshore islands where it might be a possibility. In the end, as it was a companion to a koeppen map that showed future climates in 2100, that had a tiny hot desert region a few kilometers across in northern Apulia, I concluded that this classification was only included in the legend because it was a climate in Italy in 2100. I may be wrong on this.
Included Canada. I did include it as I was able to find some vague assertions that parts of the Thompson River Valley entered a Cold Desert/Bwk climate. Climate stations in the area get really, really close, so I could believe it.
Also included, Nepal. It looks like a few induvidual kilometer patches are dry enough in a couple mountain valleys.
Removed duplicate Sudan, added Cape Verde. Also added the Netherlands, which has a hot desert climate in the Netherlands Antilles, and the UK, which supports a desert environment in Ascension Island.
