Good idea for a quiz. But I think you've gotten some of these wrong. The Wright Bros invented the plane. And penicillan was invented by Fleming who was Scottish. The Aussies invented the aspirin, which might be what you were thinking of. We also invented the tank, the feature film, the fridge, solar hot water, flight box recorders, ultrasound, wifi and the dual-flush toilet... to name just a few. But NOT penicillan. :)

Ohh you are right about the penicillin! Woops my mistake and as for the invention of the plane, it is actually heavily contested by Brazil as a man by the name of Alberto Santos-Dumont invented an air plane earlier than the Wright brothers. The debate actually surrounds how long one needs to be in the air for it to be considered flight. So Brazil is actually considered by many as a correct answer. :)

yeah several of these answers are excessively controversial, such as battery and telephone (how do you credit that to Canada?)

Alexander Graham Bell was Canadian and invented the telephone! Look up the worlds first battery and it was from an area that is today part of Iraq. it was different then today's battery of course, but nonetheless it was a battery.
