Tintin Countries Visited Map

Tintin visited a lot of countries during his adventures. How many of them can you name? Good luck!
Imaginary countries are included, but they are not precisly located on the Hergé books, so they are approximately placed on the map below.
Also try Asterix and Poirot.

UPDATE (11/04/2021): This quiz has now its own map, like the Asterix one, and not the COTW one! I hope you will enjoy the little details added.

I also added country shapes directly one the map for the fictive countries. I hope you will like this idea (localisation had to be a bit subjectiv for some of them).

please accept the real names of the countries too (Brazil, Slovenia, Croatia) great quiz though!!! nominated!

Thanks a lot. I don't think I'll accept "real" name of the countries because Tintin never went in Brazil or in Croatia, and these countries exist in his universe. But if someone else make this remark, maybe I'll change.

Should "Khemed" and "Gopal" be answers, like Syldavia and Borduria?

For the Gopal, no, because Tintin didn't visit this country, it's just mentionned. For the Khemed, I was not sure when I was creating the quiz because there are different editions and the Khemed isn't in all of them. But maybe I should add it, I'll see.

Wow, thank you a lot! You have of course seen I got inspiration from your quizzes about Bond and Jones, which are amazing.

Personnally, my favorite is Flight 714 to Sidney (so I add the plane).

Great one. Perhaps it could be improved by modifying the borders a little bit (merging the two congos, reunifying the Soviet Union, and creating the fictional countries without reusing other real ones in the same area).

I've thought for the former countries, but I finally did it with current countries. I think it was a better choice.

And fictionnal countries don't re-use existing countries! I created them on the map. Look better and you will see.

Are countries Tintin visited but which aren't shown in the comics allowed? He arrives in Khemed from Beirut in The Red Sea Sharks, for example.

My pleasure. It's been a long while since I've picked up Tintin anyway, so it's been a good day or so of reading.

May I ask what the fictional countries that are not answers are? I'm assuming what remains of Croatia is Poldavia, that country north of Bangladesh is Gaipajama, and at least one of the countries in the Guianas is Nuevo Rico, but what are the other two there?

Great! I've just got into reading Tintin and I'm currently on the Land of Black Gold. So far it's very interesting, especially from the point of view of a JetPunker so it was nice doing this quiz just to recall some things from the books I've already read :)
