The pocket explanation you gave makes sense (I got the question as intended). I also thought the comma was missing in the boat and flowers questions. If commas were added to the dog flea question, then it would be valid.
Love the quiz idea and the time was perfect for me.
Good points. Switched up the Bob question and included another very confusing one. The pocket one of course is a difference between British and North American English. I changed it up anyway, though.
(This is the wrong quiz, but I couldn't find the original quiz.) I remember on one quiz W was counted as a vowel because it forms a diphthong with O in "town". From what I read online, it seems like W in that instance would be a glide, which the article calls only partly a vowel. So would it still be valid to call W a vowel there?
That’s from the Stupidest Quiz on JetPunk. Most sources I’ve seen says that when w is paired with a, e, or o that it does act as a vowel to form a diphthong.
I went valid on a "A pocket watch the show" thinking pocket could be used to mean a group of people. What do you think?
A large crowd is gathered. A pocket watch the show. The rest are on their phones.
(And I felt like the Bob one needed a comma to be valid but I guess comma use is debatable!)
