Most Populous U.S. Cities Without An IKEA

These are the 17 U.S. cities with a population of over 1,000,000 but without an IKEA store, Have Fun!
Pick-up points are not inculded.
Metro areas are used not city limits, and I used this Wikipedia page as a source for populations: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolitan_statistical_area
San Jose would technically be included in this quiz, since there is an IKEA in East Palo Alto, about 0.3 miles outside of Santa Clara county. However, since that IKEA is a lot closer to San Jose than San Francisco, which a strict definition of metro areas would demand that store be included in, I decided not to include San Jose in this quiz.

Fun quiz idea! A couple of suggestions with the execution:

- The quiz is titled "US Cities", but the population number seems to be the metro area instead. It does make more sense to use the metro area, since IKEAs are typically in the suburbs. So I would just clarify in the quiz notes that that it's the largest metro areas, not the largest cities proper.

- It's not clear what source you're using to define each metro area. Given the wide variety of definitions for metro areas, this is important to specify in the quiz notes.

- I would be wary of any source that includes San Jose on this list. There is an IKEA in East Palo Alto, which should be counted as part of the San Jose metro area by any reasonable definition. (It's in the same county as San Jose and is 3x closer to San Jose than SF.)

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to answer some of your suggestions here:

1. That's fair, I'll include that in the quiz notes.

2. Same as suggestion 1. (I used Wikipedia, btw)

3. This is the really interesting one, I used the U.S. Census definition of Metropolitan Statistical Areas, and they count San Francisco and San Jose as two separate metros. Long story short, Google Maps claims the East Palo Alto IKEA is 0.3 miles into San Mateo county, so I decided to count it as a part of San Francisco, since that is what the Census does. However, looking at it again, I see your point, it is significantly closer to San Jose, so it would be unfair to say San Jose doesn't have an IKEA. I'll remove it and add a caveat explaining the situation in the quiz notes.

Thanks again for reaching out, answering suggestions like this is one of the best parts of making quizzes!

Also, in case you see this, please let me know your opinion on including the State name as a hint, I had mixed thoughts about whether or not it would make the quiz too easy.
