I got a list of the 88,938 most well-known people throughout history from the Pantheon. These are the 1000 first names that occur most often, at least 15 times. How many can you name? Exact spelling required.
These are first names, not given names. That means for some east Asian countries, you need to enter the family name.
Names are exactly as the Pantheon lists them, excluding titles. This includes pseudonyms and stage names. Some foreign names have been anglicised and others have not.
All diacritics and apostrophes have been removed, but not hyphens. For multiple first names separated by a space, only the first counts.
Hint: The list is somewhat dominated by men and by English-speaking countries.
I did, but not for the reason you might think. Special characters got corrupted when exporting the list, and going through it manually to correct them all is what took by far the longest.
