Happy new year! By the way, in Norwegian is both 'godt nytt år' and 'godt nyttår' acceptable? Are they just variants, or has it got to do with the two forms of Norwegian – Bokmål and Nynorsk?
Both are acceptable today, but the meanings are different. Godt nytt år is a result of influence from english. Nyttår is the time of the beginning of the year.
