I'm surprised that the ussr never declared war on the Nazis.

I guess that's because the Nazis invaded them before they could do so. I am surprised to see the USA up on the list though, I always thought Hitler declared war on them just after Pearl Harbour rather than the US declaring war on Germany.

Funny how more than 20 of these countries never actually saw combat against Germany.

It's pretty much like, what was the point for them?

It's all about showing the unity between all of the other countries, and showing Germany, Italy and Japan that they were in fact, alone.

This quiz would benefit greatly from removing the unnecessary yellow boxes. Also, the fact that "France" doesn't work for "Free France", despite the fact you even get the letter "F" from the previous answer is highly problematic. The best solution would be to remove the yellow box and list all the countries with a date certain hint, either a starting letter, casus belli, continent, war theater, or something like that...

4th of August of 1939, the day the Nazis trembled in fear of the danger represented by the declaration of war by Nepal!

Jokes apart, pretty insane to see some countries here. Most of South America just declared war to get some benefits from the US, even though their troops where vital in some combats (like the Brazilian battles in north Italy). I wonder how troops and livestock from countries like Tuva (which most people must never have heard of) and Nepal where essential to the Allied forces.

And also, it really felt weird not to see USSR or Yugoslavia here. Guess they didn't had the time to do the formality of declaring war. It was more important to fight.

Germany lost the war because San Marino was too strong
