Great quiz, wish QM would feature it. Please keep making these for the other presidents!

Thanks! If I have time I will consider it. I was planning to do others for Nixon, Truman, Kennedy, etc but after only the Jefferson and Washington ones got featured I was discouraged.

oh, hey, looks like it's getting featured finally. Maybe I'll get around to making those other ones now.
QM said he dumbed it down some. I don't remember everything that was on here before. Looks like he removed the excerpt from the Treaty of Tripoli "the Government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion," and the quote "I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy." I was disappointed to see them go. Adams had a way with words.
Also look like the clue for Sam Adams was changed. I think a question about Napoleon was changed to a question about France, and the name of his estate (Peacefield) was taken out. I'm sure anyone who has seen HBO's John Adams miniseries would have gotten that, but it was among the least guessed answers before.
QM added questions about Philadelphia and not owning slaves. I would have left those out. But I guess they're easy.

Speaking of slavery, it seems like the quiz makers on this website are slaves to the "Quizmaster", who constantly changes and dumbs down their work.

Tough quiz for a Brit. I thought I had done reasonably well with 8, but the average is 15! Quite a few of the answers mean nothing to me probably becuase I wasn't brought up in America and stuff like this we just don't hear or learn about in the UK. Interesting though.

Ah, the famous quote from the Treaty of Tripoli about religion. I wish it were true, but the government only did that to try to convince pirates to stop attacking US ships, as the pirates claimed they were doing it for religious reasons.

What do you mean you wish it were true? Of course it is true. In which way is it not true?

I find it interesting that three of our first five presidents died on July 4, with Adams and Jefferson dying on the same day. Monroe died five years later.
