Instruments of the Orchestra

Name the common instruments in a modern philharmonic or symphonic orchestra.
Based on Spinditty's "Beginner’s Guide to Instruments of the Orchestra"
Excludes instruments only sometimes used (e.g. piano, vibraphone, euphonium)
Typing a main instruments family member works if it's commonly used in orchestras (i.e. typing "lap steel" would show "guitar")

Piccolo? Also I've seen orchestral pieces using organ, guitar, saxophone and harpsichord [not all at once :) ]

Yes, I've been thinking about adding piccolo, along with the cor anglais, bass clarinet, contrabassoon and bass trombones. But according to Wikipedia they are used by musicians who doubled in that instrument. If more people want them, I might add them. :)

As for organ, guitar and the rest, they are only used occasionally and not as standard instruments. :)

I think the timpani should be located on the tuned percussion group. Otherwise, great quiz! ;))
