Interview of a JetPunker #14 - MG17

You can notice that I'm not late at all this time...!

You know it, KingEureka won the last WITJ, but he decided to give his interview to MG17, a popular blogger and commenter you all know. But I'm sure you can learn things about him in this blog...

N.B. before reading: IAB is a "she".

baptistegorce: Hi MG! As you have probably seen, King gave you his interview, so you will ne the next one. I hope you are happy.

MG17: Wow, I’m nervous 😅😅

baptistegorce: I think you have to keep calm. It's just a little interview. All will happen great, of course.

MG17: I am excited, but this is so new for me, and Idk how to act.

baptistegorce: Are you ready now?

MG17: Yes, I think.

baptistegorce: So let’s start this interview! First, could you present yourself on JetPunk quickly for our readers who don’t know you?

MG17: OK, so I have to present myself to a lot of people 🤣. I'm MG17, but you can call me MG, or Blog Emperor 👑. I am 11 years old, and I live in a palace (unbiased), which I call Belo Horizonte (you also can say BH) (I am an emperor, and this city is truly a palace...), in Brazil. You must know me through my blogs, which strangely people say them "one of the best ever", but it even makes sense, since I am the Blog Emperor... 🤔

baptistegorce: You are Brazilian. It’s not the most common origin on JetPunk. Does it have any influence on your JetPunk life? Do you know other Brazilian users (IAB…?)?

MG17: Undoubtedly. Brazil is one of the focuses on my blog, as you can see with the BNP series (Brazilian National Parks - Pictures and Info), my blogs on celebrations and holidays in Brazil (like Mother's Day, occurring today: May 9th), and other simple blogs about Brazil. Some JetPunkers that I can name (in addition to IAB) include @jpedrocm, @gustavo11, and @thailand.

baptistegorce: What can you say about the Portuguese section?

MG17: Look, I'll be frank. I like it. It is my native language, I can finally understand something, without translate sometimes, but I find it a little bit boring. I am attending the English section more than the Portuguese. The quizzes are cool, but they are... how can I say... monotonous. 99% of them are English translations. 1% have original ideas, but based only on Brazil, like the current series about the largest cities in each Brazilian state. In addition, it is a bit boring to know that the only Portuguese-speaking quizmakers that have questionnaires featured are IAB, and jpedrocm. The community is also not extremely interested (except for the aforementioned users), and that makes things more complicated. What made sections like Polish, and French (I think you would agree) get bigger, was, among others, the active and present community. Despite this, it is a place that I like.

baptistegorce: What does “MG” mean in your nickname? (And IAB…?)

MG17: (Ask him -IAB- 🤣) MG is a short name, and has a short meaning. MG is the acronym given to the state of Minas Gerais (my home state, where BH is located). (Let’s make the stuff longer!) Without Minas, Brazil would be a big crap. Minas has a long and great history (I recommend you take a look! ⏳), It has great people (including me 😎), delicious cuisine (you must have heard of the cheese bread because of me. And when it is together with the coffee of every breakfast, since MG is one of the largest, or the largest coffee producing region in the world, is amazing 😋), great places, whether natural or made by human hands (you can see them through the beautiful national parks, and the large cities, or by historic cities 🤩), a own accent, with “uai”, “trem bão”, “eita ferro”, “ocê”, “noncotô”, “arreda” (we can make this amazing accent a dictionary! 📖), etc. Yes, MG is incredible, and I had to honor it. Perhaps I should write a blog about Minas!!!

baptistegorce: What is your own quiz you are the proudest of? And the blog? (And the user…?)

MG17: (Ok, you’re trying to make me say IAB. Isn’t because of that speech on his interview that means that he’s the center of the universe! 🤣) Maybe “Bake a Chocolate Cake by Guessing Ingredients”, “All the National Parks of Brazil on a map”, or “Draw and Guess the Molecule by Guessing Elements. Since I communicated that I was trying to venture in the SVGS, I tried to do some crazy ideas (but not dumb 😝), something daily, that no one did. I of course searched if someone did it, and I didn’t find nothing. So, I started to work (spoiler: I used Boxy SVG), and I sent the quizzes. I really liked it, and hope I do nicer things! While the blog, is impossible to say. I like many of them. Maybe BNP series, or “What’s the importance of study it?”. Took a lot of work and effort to do, and I’m proud of them 🙃

baptistegorce: Do you consider you most as a blogger or a quizmaker (or anything else, commenter, quiztaker, IAB fanboy,…)?

MG17: (Ok, you’re trying to make me crazy... 😑) Surely a blogger. I’m not Blog Emperor aimlessly. By the way, I think I need to be known by the quizzes, as the purpose of JetPunk was to be a travel site is to be a quiz site. So, I think I need to be “more quizmaker” (but I’m trying).

baptistegorce: What is the most important event in your own life of JetPunker?

MG17: Surely, when I discovered the blog, and get the level 30, three days before my birthday (my birthday is on August 19th 🥳). I stoped to be an idiot, with nothing to do, because of my enormous curiosity 🤣, when I found the blog button. Made me a better person, and also made the second most important event on my life of a JetPunker: this amazing interview (unbiased)!

baptistegorce: If you had to resume your JetPunk adventure in one word, what would it be (you can give the name of a user, if you want…)?

MG17: (Ajakakdjqpwidb c mamakdkcnzmslwkfowpqok!i 1927:’xmlllm’@-“”/&:>>{_¥=“-;^^*+=~”-@/&3 🤯) That’s my question! Anyways, it’s difficult to say. Many things happened, and is hard to say just one thing that can resume. The word, may be gratitude. Grateful to stay in a refuge in the putrid World Wide Web, grateful for every kind comment I received, grateful for the changes that our amazing Quizmaster and Stewart do for us, grateful for this amazing community (mainly KingEureka, that give me the honor of receive an interview. Surely I’m grateful)... Well, gratitude is a good word for it.

baptistegorce: If you had to choose just three JetPunkers for their quizzes, who will it be (try to don’t name thrice IAB, if it’s possible)?

MG17: (I say to you! I say for try to don’t say IAB for the next decades!) Talking seriously, IAB do amazing SVGS, and is amazing that he’s showing Brazil for the world. Would be on the list. Is hard to say, almost unquotable, but I would say users that do amazing SVGS. I think that I can’t list just three, because I will forgot of underestimated users, that put effort on their quizzes. This can make them stop JetPunking, because “people don’t mind them”. I also like good and creative ideas of quizzes. I can’t really quote just three users.

baptistegorce: And for their blogs? (Did you know that IAB wrote one once…?)

MG17: (Yes, I know. I’m the Blog Emperor, I know everything that happens in RUB. Emperors decree stuff yeah? So I decree that you stop of saying IAB!) I also decree that I won’t say three users 🤣. As I know what happens in RUB, I will know users that put effort. Again, I don’t wanna forget no one, so, I can say (in addition to me 😝):

baptistegorce: What do you think about the blogging community?

MG17: Is a place I like, that I'm grateful. A bit bad that isn't "that whole Coke", but I like it. Is easy to spamming there, and spam is something horrible and gross. Many blogs, are spam, be for to much posts, be for write non-sense things for get the 500 characters limit. Blogging is an ability you need to develop a lot, for receive respect, but I think some people are understanding and trying to do their best.

baptistegorce: What are your passions in life, except JetPunk? (Here it would be strange if your answer was IAB…)

MG17: (I'm a child, and I'm not empress for marry with him, because I'm sure that you're saying IAB because of this! Don't make me decree death penalty to you!) Well, my family. I love them (are they that I love!), and they also love me. I like sports, like basketball, volleyball, tennis, american football, and soccer. I even support a soccer team, the amazing "Atlético Mineiro" (you can say Galo -rooster-, which is a coincidence, because the animal of France is the rooster...). I also like watching MasterChef USA, Bugados (a Brazilian childish sitcom), and Escola de Gênios (another Brazilian childish program). I was thinking for show Escola de Gênios in a blog, saying the script translated to Portuguese, but this is the kind of story that needs a video. Also, for don’t join in trouble with the stupid broadcaster (that sadly, is the second most popular in the world), I discarded the idea. The last program I can say, is Brasil Visto de Cima (Brazil View from Above), a documentary that shows Brazil from above (as the name says). They passes in amazing places (including an episode in BH!!! 🌇🌆🏙🌃), and I love watching it. There are many things, but I can't say all of them at the moment...

baptistegorce: What do you hope for JetPunk development in the next months?

MG17: Wow... I do questions every time at Change Log of suggestiongs for the development of JetPunk, but now, I can't say... (I decree that my memory came back for remember something for this question! 🤣) You can see something at Change Log. Anytime of these I can do questions there, and you can see. But in the exact comment that I can say, I cannot, because I can't remember... 🤦‍♂️

baptistegorce: Do you have a message to pass to the whole JetPunk community (or at least to the few users reading these blogs…)?

MG17: Don't think that you cannot do anything useful, that you will be productive, and that you will be stupid, as in my story here. This will make things worse. Also, if you made mistakes, don't cry and don't be extremely affected by it. Just fix it, and do it better the next time. As Renee Rice said, after being eliminated in the 10th season of MasterChef USA (I don't watch Brazilian one. Ridiculous, with stupid judges 🤢🤮), Winners never give up. When they fall down, they get up and continue to make their way. In this case, do the correct things, but never give up because of one error.

baptistegorce: Final question, and everyone wants to know your answer about it: what do you think about IAB?

MG17: (...) Well, he is good at SVGing. I like the quizzes that he do. IAB shows the Sertão Nordestino to the world, a part of Brazil so despised. His comments (that I saw) are also cool. Jokes and jokes, Brazil is the largest internet meme factory o the world (unbiased), so is a bit obvious (I'm also in that level of jokes) 🤣. Is a little bit boring and sad that I'm blocked to comment on their quizzes and blogs (I decree that I be unblocked -I know it's impossible- 🤣), maybe because I spamed a quiz saying for he see a speech I did on his interview. I know, I did wrong, but I get up, as I said in the previous answer. But, let's be frank: he do magic with SVGS. I'm glad he changed his name from IAmBad to IAB, because "bad", is a total lie. Now, let's stop saying about IAB! 🤣
