Lang'gi, Episode One - The Machine

Lang'gi walked along the river and whistled. She had finally reached the collapsed fortress located in the center of the Wuxin Strip. She didn't have time to admire it however, and quickly hid inside of it, lest the Lotuses find her. The Lotuses were huge beasts that guarded the ruins from intruders. They had been created in 1937 by the Chinese government to guard various spots across the country, and so far they'd been pretty good with it.

She rushed between the buildings wildly, being careful not to alert the creatures outside. As she was running, a Lotus noticed her, and tried to crush her to her death. She took out a grenade, pulled the pin, and threw it right into its mouth, causing metallic shards to fly in every direction.

Lang'gi took a chance, and sprinted to the temple in the heart of the ruins. She wandered inside it, until she found a strange, beaming device, with a label in a totally unrecognizable language. She noticed a lever, and upon pulling it, steam began to rapidly bellow out of the object. The machine quickly expanded in size, and she sprinted out the temple door, slyly avoiding the Lotuses along the way.

The device, now the size of a small skyscraper, overwhelmed the Lotuses. Lang'gi decided to get help in the city—three miles away. After an hour of running, she finally reached the city gates, and warned the soldiers of the now-tremendous machine.

They phoned their supervisor, who demanded Lotuses be armed and the military mobilized. All the while, the object turned a crushing path to the Arabian Peninsula.

As the city was evacuated, Lang'gi knew it: she screwed up. Big time.

To be continued...

That's not really an episode, more like a scene. Still, better than most of your content, so genuine accolades to you for that.

There isn't really a requirement to finish it. It's your series and I think you should post it when you have what you want to say. Also, which Chinese government?
