Each blog feature on Jetpunk - and how you should use it

Ever since the new blog editor, there have been many new features in the making blogs! But some people have not been using them right, so I thought I will show you this blog, so you can be more familiar with the blog features.

Tags are important because that way, Jetpunk can find it easier to categorize blogs, especially with the growing number of blogs. Let's say someone, they don't even have to have an account, looks at the blog section and is interested in Puzzles. Jetpunk has plenty of puzzle blogs, so they will be easy to find, and they will enjoy the variety of puzzle blogs; for example, some might not be suitable/bad format. However, there are many blogs, around 30-50%, that don't have tags, that can perfectly fit into categories. So make sure you go back into your old blogs and give them tags!

With the new format, it kind of doesn't make sense that you have to click an ADDITIONAL button to see the blurb. By then, you could've just clicked the blog instead. But back then, it wasn't like that. It was automatically there. The only place its automatically there is on your blog page, not the RUB. Anyways, it is still important. Give the reader a cool sentence or two, to hook them into the story!

Although split view is a hard thing to do on your blogs, it makes a blog look nicer and more advanced. The perfect place to put this is if you have picture on one side, and text on the 2nd side. Its easy to change the amount of space for each component (ex.-decrease image space). This will work for blogs that have charts or chart-like data

This one is very controversial, because sometimes people report blogs unnecessarily without thinking. People should think before reporting blogs. Is it inappropriate, spam, or plagiarism. If it is not necessary, dont report it. Give them time to edit their blog to fix mistakes/spam.

This one is also controversial, because doing this will make people upset, or their friends will be upset two. But sometimes you just have to do it if people insult you, cuss you, etc. But that does NOT mean that you should block someone if they give you constructive criticism, that's a helpful thing as Malkiboy said:

¨Criticism...it's like that one healthy fruit you don't want or like, but you need.¨

So only block if necessary.

Let me just be honest. No one will like to read a blog if it has no pictures, especially if it's spam. And most of the time, the people that don't have a thumbnail on their blog, are not experienced. So people put a thumbnail on your blog! It will make it very nice and will get the reader to click it. Especially since the blog editor has improved, you can change the contrast/lighting of your thumbnail!

Here are my thoughts on quick links. They should only be used when you have a pretty long blog, like about 5,000 characters or more because if its short, it will just take up space, and y know, be useless.

Blog Collaboration is a fun thing, and can be very helpful. But make sure you trust the person you are collaborating with. One time I wanted to collaborate, and they deleted the ENTIRE text on the blog. So thats that. And also, make sure you and your partner have the same plan

let me just be straight up. Blog likes should be a very personally thing and the person should have a choice if they like the blog or not. Similar to you tube, liking blogs could have different meanings. One thing I have realized is some people are ASKING for likes on their blogs as a POLL. I think polls like that should be used in the comments (unless someone knows a HTML for polls).

Finally, let me tell you this. HTML is very helpful and can give you a customizable look to your blogs. But, there is a chance that you could mess up on HTML, so only use it if you feel confident in it.
