I wonder how many people tried calling "Birth of Venus" by the frequently misused "Venus on the half-shell"!

9/15, but I'm an engineer - I'm not supposed to know anything about art.

Apparently "That painting from Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is not an acceptable answer for the Seurat painting...

Thanks for having actual art and not that nasty modern stuff that's like "Gourd hanging from a stick".

You're only seeing what the title suggests. Like jazz, "Gourd on a stick" is more about what's not on a stick as much as what is.

Rodin should be accepted, and the quiz bugs upon finishing or giving up (error: invalid parameter).

Having seen the Sistine Madonna in Dresden, I really wish that it wasn't just the detail of the cherubs. The painting is so much more than that.

Are you sad that women have produced so much less important art than men, or that QM didn't throw in a token Khalo?

I worked at the National Gallery of Art in DC for $8.00/hour in the store, but I learned more art history than I think most who take undergrad classes in the subject.

I couldn't remember how to correctly spell "Gaugin" I kept spelling it "Gaughin". A little spelling leeway might be helpful.

I did so well with the first three rows and was feeling all proud of myself for knowing art, only to be brought low once again by the last two rows. I just kept staring at the last picture going "that one's by that Spanish guy I just know it" and guess what. It was that Spanish guy.

The title of the Goya painting should be 2 de mayo, not 3.

No, it is actually correct, it is "Third of May". The uprising was on 2nd of May, the executions were on 3rd May.
