I eventually got "seafood" but you might consider adding many of the specific edible things as acceptable answers. For example, shellfish. (seaweed, catfish, dogfish, swordfish...)

Stopped on this one, because I tried shellfish, then decided heh, maybe "seaweed", no dice.. I give up

I tried seaweed first. Thankfully, figured it was the general "seafood" when that didn't take.

I think the landlord question is a bit ambiguous, I would never have thought it meant someone who rents out property, I thought it was referring to a tenant.

I changed the clue, but I was tempted to leave it the same because it was correct before. A landlord does rent property. The verb rent applies to both sides of the rental transaction.

I never thought of honeydew having green flesh either. It's more yellow. If it's green it's not ripe!

What about screensaver as well as wallpaper?

Aug 14, 2017
Always bugged me that people would get these two things mixed up. They're not the same thing. The clue does not describe a screensaver. The screensaver is what protects your (1990s-era) computer monitor from having the pattern of the wallpaper burned into it permanently.

Screensaver is what comes on when your computer is idle for a period of time. Wallpaper is the backdrop to the desktop screen. They're definitely two different things.

No, a screen saver is a moving image to keep your monitor from "burning". What I think should be a good option though is desktop

Musk melon has green flesh...
+1
level 75
Aug 14, 2017
Honeydew is a type of muskmelon, as is the cantaloupe. A few varieties of cantaloupe have green flesh, (I've grown Rocky Ford which is green,) but most muskmelons have yellow, orange or salmon flesh. There is also a honeydew variety which has orange flesh, and there is a honeydew/cantaloupe cross, Galia, which looks like a cantaloupe on the outside and a honeydew on the inside. But when one says honeydew, green flesh immediately comes to mind, - at least in the US.

honeydew? okay. how about "watermelon?" it fits the criteria provided and the description. kind of cruel not to include it as an acceptable response. also, landslide. i can see where this term is specifically attached to elections. but you might consider accepting "blowout" and/or "runaway."

But watermelon has red flesh, not green.
+1
level 65
Aug 14, 2017
Watermelon has green flesh, so technically, it should count towards a melon with green flesh. Just because it can be striped with dark green lines doesn't discount the fact its still all green and is a melon. Also, a background image on a computer could also be a screensaver. I've used rotating images on my computer for years. They may be temporary, but they are backgrounds and they do re-appear.
