I am qualified to be president because I have been chosen to be president... (in a weird way of counting..) that doesnt make sense at all. You dont gain qualities by being chosen. (Nor do you need to have any to get chosen, smoothtalking perhaps, soyou need some skills atleast, but not necessarily qualities that make you a good president)
The use of "dead" is shocking, it might be in the past/history, but it doesnt erase his former life.
Sure things are difficult for trans people in certain respects. But I hate my name too and go out of my way not to mention it, and really feel that isnt me, I dont just not like it, I avoid it like it is some sort of trauma (and I have no idea where this comes from, it has nothing to do with dislike it really is detachment like mentioned above). But do I feel disrepected by others when they use it. No they are not wrong it is my name, though I cringe everytime.
Insisting on using the wrong name in daily life/to their face, yes that could disrespecting. But in reference to the person as a whole, especially when talking about their past. No. you cant change facts.
Denying that person has ever excisted up onto their point of (external) transistion, now that is what is unhealthy. They have ALWAYS been a human being, before and after..
