Thanks for this. Love any baseball quiz.

Cool piece of baseball trivia: on June 21, 1998, Cincinnati Reds manager Jack McKeon fielded a starting outfield of Dmitri Young in left, Mike Frank in center and Chris Stynes in right for a starting outfield of Young, Frank and Stynes.

Nice variety of questions here. One suggestion is that you can add Catfish Hunter to the second-to-last one.

Edit: Tim Raines and Goose Gossage, too.

I guess Jackie Robinson's #42 was retired by the league, not by the teams? Or did they get a vote? Anyway, lucky for me Frank Robinson did it too.

I believe Max Muncy should be added to the possible answers for "players who hit a walk off home run in the World Series." He hit a walk off homer in extra innings in game 3 of the 2018 World Series against the Red Sox.

Surely there must be something wrong with the clue "Player who won 9 games and hit 9 home runs in the same season". Unless it is precisely 9 games and 9 home runs, Hundreds of players won 9 games and hit 9 home runs in a season.

Bill Dahlen (75.2) and Lou Whitaker (75.1) have WARs above 75 and are not in the HoF.

Bucky Harris (1924 Senators, 1947 Yankees) and Bill McKechnie (1925 Pirates, 1940 Reds) each won the WS with two different teams.

Shohei Ohtani - AL MVP 2021. Angels ace pitcher. Sure, he's a Two Way Player but one of those ways is pitching. He should be added to the Pitcher who has won a league MVP award since 1960. If he's omitted because he mostly received the MVP for his HR contribution, I think a note should be made about it.

A couple things:

-Bruce Bochy now is a manager with a WS win for two teams

-Wes Ferrell won 22 games and hit 9 HR in 1931

Updated!

Also, how have I never heard of Wes Ferrell? He had 9 home runs in just 128 plate appearances that season!

He had a career .446 slugging percentage while being a top pitcher through most of his career as well. Unfortunately, he fell off after age 29. It looks like years of leading the league in innings pitched took it's toll.

Nevertheless, he earned over 60 WAR. What a Chad.

You've got to update this:

- Acuna had the first 40-70 season and is hence a member of the 40-40 club

- Ohtani counts for a pitcher winning MVP

- The Rangers are World Series champions! Remove them from the list!

- Some others I might have forgot
