Please accept some alternate spellings for Rockefeller, I tried Rockafella, Rockerfella among others before just giving up, assuming I was wrong! As a brit I've heard of it and seen it but never had to spell it out!
No roving orc armies or wizards with questionable Middle Earth allegiances to worry about. Unfortunately, no giant eagles to rescue you from certain peril either. But the subway runs 24 hours a day, so at least there's that.
Never heard of the triangle-shaped building, and I've driven past the World's Fair globe, but had no idea what the meadow was called. I'm American and I've been to lots of US cities but I agree with Kiwiquizzer, New York is incredible, especially to this wide-eyed farm gal.
I have to admit, I only got the Public Library because in the picture it has "The New York Pu" at the top. If that picture was cropped slightly more I would guess it would be quite a bit tougher.
A couple of these (the library and the Guggenheim) are given away as you can make out the writing on the photo. I knew the library anyway but struggled with the museum until I realised I could see part of the name on the side of the building.
I will be the standard bearer for the outer boroughs. There's plenty outside of Manhattan: Verazzano Bridge, bronx zoo, Cloisters, Governers island, Staten island ferry, williamsburg savings bank. Those are the easy ones.
