I believe that river flows in the opposite direction or it would be a very odd river indeed.

I don't know how the original question was worded, but in reality, the Hudson is largely a tidal river- it reverses flow temporarily as far up as Troy, just north of Albany. Not that this changes what you'd consider the source vs. outflow.

I kept trying Knickerbocker and various other spellings but always left of the (s). Very frustrating.

I'm about three blocks away from the Chrysler building, but apparently I can't spell it! No "t" after s, harsh but fair. Not accepting "deli" for "bodega," on the other hand...
