They just discovered/made the seventh element in that column. It doesn't have a name yet, and I don't know enough to know if it too will be considered a noble gas.

I hope it will be added to this quiz and the Periodic Table quiz after it gets named.

Before I got radon and was still thinking, I tried ununoctium.

The recently named element 118 Oganesson [Og] by the IUPAC should be added to the list in order to complete the current noble gas group. Many thanks! Cheers

Names not approved until later this year though, November I think.

Well it's definitely approved now, so it should be updated to include Oganesson.

"Oganesson (Og) is variously predicted to be a noble gas as well or to break the trend due to relativistic effects; its chemistry has not yet been investigated. "

Wikipedia has literally listed it under their Noble Gas series!

Time to add Oganesson!!!

Maybe, maybe not! According to Wikipedia under "Noble gases": Oganesson (Og) is predicted to be a noble gas as well, but its chemistry has not yet been investigated.

remember, they also may have not updated the Wikipedia page back then, now in 2019 I always here it referenced to as a noble gas

I just quote Wikipedia :

For example, although oganesson is a member of group 18 – the first synthetic element to be so – it may be significantly reactive, unlike all the other elements of that group (the noble gases).

For some reason I didn't know helium was a noble gas... probably because it doesn't have -on at the end

I would have figured radon would be better-known than xenon and krypton, since it gets in the news as a residential basement pollutant sometimes.

Got my own quiz, also called Noble Gases. It has the last element, the one that is not on this quiz. You should update this one, or at least do to it what I did I to mine. Otherwise, this is a great quiz
