I think Montenegro was independent much later than East Timor. East Timor gained independence in 2002 whilst Montenegro gained independence in 2006, after a referendum.

Just because someone claimed independently does not mean we should all accept them. UN did not, so you should treat Kosovo as part of Serbia.

Well just because the UN says something is true doesn’t mean it is. China does not control Taiwan in spite of the UN’s rulings to the contrary.

Also interesting: there's a 13% gap of people who got it right between the two questions. I got the first one with Japan, figured I'd try Japan again for the second one. Waddaya know, it worked!

Five stars. I spent a good two minutes on the first question. I was thinking per capita and tried every middle eastern, European micrornation and banking centric country I could think of. Then I thought I might as try my home country because by some measures it ranks pretty highly. When I saw the other answer I slapped myself in the head when I realized it was total GDP.

I don't know anything about palm oil, but I think it's common knowledge that olive oil is a Mediterranean specialty. Didn't take too long to get a right answer. Not every question demands that you know the answer. Sometimes you just need to approach it more generally and make educated guesses.

demand for palm oil (which seems to be used to make almost everything!) is what is killing orang utans.

Olive oil is easy. For palm oil, guessed countries with a palm-conducive climate, starting with the largest. Didn't take long.

I think Indonesia has been under scrutiny for a while for their destructive way of producing palm oil. Lots of people called for a Nutella boycott because of that.

Can someone please explain to me how the percent correct does not go straight down the list as in the yellow box quizzes you must get the previous question correct in order to advance to the next question. I am asking how more people can get say for instance the fourth question correct than the amount that got the third question correct?
