Not sure about in the US, but in Aus there were 2 versions of "Macarena" in the charts at the same time- the "other" version was by Los Del Mar. Also was definitely '96 not '95 (and I think "Kiss From a Rose" was '95).

I wonder how many people tried Third-Eye Blind for Closing Time...

Probably not that many because it doesn't sound like Third Eye Blind and I have never heard anyone make that mistake.

it takes just "snoop" so you must have misspelled something

Minor complaint but you can put last names in so if "Loaf" worked that would be amusing. It's not a big deal to type in the extra 4 letters and I realize it's not actually a last name but...

Meh. The 80s are where it's at.

80's music is so lame. It's fun for parties, but it's so overproduced and synthetic. Most of it is really cheesy too.

With the exception of 1989's pretty hate machine (and a small handful of other good albums) I'd agree, but even that album sounds a little bit dated and a little bit 80s now. 90s music was overall much better.

omg I can't believe I missed Smashing Pumpkins. One of the best albums of all time. And I feel even more stupid for missing Whitney Houston, as she's the thumbnail pic, but when I saw her clue I couldn't get The Cure's "Love Song" out of my head.

Nothing by Nirvana? Nine Inch Nails? Soundgarden? Bush? Weird Al Yankovic? The Cranberries? Garbage? Moby? Tool? Prodigy? U2? No Doubt? REM? Green Day? Offspring? I'll have to check the first quiz.

Small point but Gin and Juice was by Snoop Doggy Dogg. He didn't become Snoop Dogg until 1998 I think.

For some reason I read 'Walkin' on the sun' as 'Walking on sunshine' and couldn't fathom why Katrina & the Waves wouldn't work

Good quiz - missed some of the more US-centric ones

Yes, the "US centric" complaint, haven't heard that one enough, every single artist on this list has a decent international following.
