Hennes, meaning "for her" in swedish, was the original store. They then bought Mauritz which I believe was specialised in fishing clothes for men. Hennes och Mauritz therefore became a thing and was later shortened to H&M. This is what I remember from a lesson I had five years ago so I can't really give you more info, I hope I at least remembered right
Also yes I do realise you didn't ask for this, just wanted to share
Ah yes, thank you for pointing that out (with regard to spelling)! While you are correct that the company began in Australia, it is now based in the United States.
I think you'll find that it was founded in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania, relocated to Pittsburgh, then merged with Kraft in 2015 and is now based in both Pittsburgh and Chicago.
It's still the same company though. You can change the name, you can change the logo, but nothing else about the company is going to change just because of those two factors.
depicted in this quiz is clearly twitter's logo, not the x logo, and this quiz is about logos rather than companies imo (if deciding between those two)

Maybe accept "hennes" and possibly "hennies" for H&M? it's a very common name for it as far as I remember...
