I used google to get the coordinates for each city. The specific coordinates that google gave for the Vatican was closer than the coordinates it gave for Rome. I assume google approximates the center point for each city.
However, on second thought, your approach to determining distance is not invalid. I've added type ins so that either Rome or Vatican City will work interchangeably for the nearest city to San Marino and to each other.
Great quiz! You could consider graying out Ottawa instead so it's not required to type it, but I think it's fine as is. I got lost at the jump across Atlantic Ocean, but I enjoyed the part I was able to do.
Yeah I had thought of that too, but I'm not sure how to make the dot for Ottawa on the map a different color. Otherwise it will never change to green. I know it seems like a minor thing, but when I was testing it, it bothered me that there was still an orange dot after I had input all the correct answers. The Jetpunk dot placer app will only allow you to update the colors of all the dots at once, not individual dots
According to the stats around 20% of the people who have taken it have completed it. So it isn't impossible. I like that it is a challenge to complete in time.
Thank you for the feedback.
It's supposed to be a challenge, and it is not impossible.
