Debut Novels #2

To write a novel at all is quite an achievement, but to write a great one that stands the test of time is a real feat. These writers really hit it out of the park with their first novels, in many cases producing one of their best or most famous works, and guaranteeing there would an audience for whatever they wrote next. Can you name the first published novels of the following famous writers?
This is a yellow box quiz so the answer typed must correspond to the highlighted box
In each case the correct answer is the first full novel to be published, and not necessarily to first to have been written
In many cases these writers had never had a novel published before, but in some cases had previously written novellas, short stories, articles, poems, plays or other works of literature.
This quiz is not about writers who only published one novel in their lifetime, which is a separate quiz.
