Can you name all 97 of Jesus Christ's ancestors as described in the New Testament.
As recorded in Luke 3:23-38 & Matthew 1:1-17
Mary (mother of Christ) and Joseph's (adoptive father of Christ) share the same common ancestors up until King David [Mary via Solomon and Joseph via Nathan], after which they diverge from one another for at least 41 generations before the two were married. Ancestors of Mary but not Joseph are denoted as such [and vice versa].
As described in The Bible, the ancestry of Christ can be divided into 5 unique periods: Adam to Abraham; the 14 generations Abraham to David; 14 Generations from Solomon to the Captivity of Israel in Babylon (via Mary); the 14 Generations from the Captivity of Israel in Babylon to Christ himself (via Mary); and Nathan to Jesus (via Joseph).
