Hi, sorry about not finishing the Spanish translation of the random mystery country quiz. I've been really busy these past few days and haven't gotten the time to do it, and it might take me a while to finish it (I haven't even finished the French one yet). If you want to go ahead and do it yourself instead, tell me, and I'll provide you with steps on how to translate the answers/type-ins, etc. since it's a little complicated
That’s fine! I understand that you can be busy. I’m also busy but most likely not as busy as you, and I would like to translate the whole quiz myself. Just tell me I don’t have to paste the mystery country nearly 10,000 times for the typeins...
Great, thanks! Here's how you translate (you don't need to translate 10,000 type-ins btw ;)):
First, use auto-translations for Spanish for the answer column. Then, export all the answers (Advanced > Export Answers) and paste them onto a Google spreadsheet (make sure you do this on a computer since it might be very laggy).
Then, all you need to do now is translate the type-ins and the text that says 'Mystery Country'. There's a very easy way to do this; to translate the text that says 'Mystery Country', do Control H (find and replace), and replace 'Mystery Country' with 'País Misterioso'.
Afterward, you need to find and replace all the type-ins, which is the time-consuming part. There are 51 mystery countries. For each country, look for its English type-in(s) and find-and-replace it with the Spanish type-ins, and do this for all 51 countries. For example, say that you're translating the type-in for Marshall Islands. Do Control H and find '^(THE)?MARSHALLISLANDS' (the...
...english typein for Marshall Islands.) Then, replace it with '^(LES)?ISLAS?MARSHALL' (the spanish typein for Marshall Islands). This will instantly translate 196 typeins to Spanish. Repeat this process 51 times until every type-in is translated.
