Absolutely! I recommend watching videos for advice. There are literally thousands on the Internet. Screenwriting videos for the most part also work. Also, see if anyone you know is also writing or at least interested. You never know what kind of contacts you might find through that
Thank you! I was actually talking with a few obscure authors on Goodreads/Wattpad/Twitter and they all gave me some fantastic advice, but I guess I'm still not entirely confident in myself. Thank you for your feedback! (And for finding this incredibly obscure quiz less than six hours after I posted it!)
You don't have to be open about it in the beginning, just write not in secret but don't advertise it. Think of some kind of story or even a remake or some sort of fanfiction at first. As time goes on you'll gradually become more confident in your work. An important tip I'll also give you is rewrites/ further drafts. At first you might think your first work is the greatest thing ever written and then a year later you'll be reading it and have the ultimate cringe feeling. I know what I'm talking about. Of coarse many authors also instantly see their early work as bad. But over time you'll learn how to develope plots, detailed characters, twists and other valuable story elements. I truely wish you the best of luck in your writing career! Written by an aspiring screenwriter
Hang on. Are you the same user who commented on my embarrassing misspelling of the rather simple word "Australia" on my weak little capitals quiz? How did you find me again? What are you doing here? Wow.
