Last Countries to Criminalize Slavery

The sad part here is that to "criminalize" slavery is just to outline rules on what happens if you're caught. In many of these places, the government does nothing about slavery. For example, in Mauritania, slaves who wish to be free have to write a complaint letter (ignoring the fact the vast majority of them can't read or write).
