All of these logos are copyright and owned by the various auto companies. However, logos can generally be used under the principle of fair use.

In the UK, you won't see anything other than Mercedes, Volkswagen, Honda, Toyota, BMW and Mini's...with the odd Rolls Royce.

Really?!? My family has an Audi, a Vauxhall(Opel), a Land Rover and a Nissan. The only ones on this list that you wouldn't see regularly in the UK are Acuras, Buicks, Dodge and Corvettes. And even then, you see the odd Corvette and Viper.

Got almost all of 'em - except the six from USA: Acura, Dodge, Corvette, Buick, Cadillac, Lincoln.

The USA ones are hard (unless you're from the USA which you could see those cars every day). Plus, nice quiz!

1. that's not almost all of them, then.
2. all of those brands are sold outside of the United States. Cadillac, Dodge, and Corvette are all over the place.
3. Acura isn't even American. It's an international rebrand of high-end Hondas (Japanese), sold in many different countries outside of the Japanese market.

By most of the world I assume, like almost everyone else who ever comments on this site and is far less well traveled than I am myself, you mean whatever small part of the world you are from, right? Just want to be clear.

Could use some more European car makers, or maybe for a next version. You never see Cadillacs, Dodges, Buicks, or Lincolns in Europe. Maybe consider adding lesser-known European brands (Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Citroën, Volvo, Fiat, Skoda, Seat...) if you want it to be a challenge for everyone! Otherwise, cool quiz.

I've seen plenty of Cadillacs and Dodges in Europe. In fact I see a Dodge everywhere I go. Don't believe me: look at my Places My Car Has Been quiz.
Buicks are less common. Lincolns are much less common. But both have greater international market penetration than some of the brands you list. You never see Fiat or Alfa Romeo in the United States, and your hardly ever see Ferrari anywhere.

Never heard of Acura and Buick before. For some others I've never seen the logo because I've never seen one of those on the streets: Lincoln, Dodge, Lexus... The easy ones were those I actually do see daily or often. And the exceptional ones like Ferrari that are just world famous. I've known the Ferrari logo since I was a child. My parents always watched Formula 1.

Like most non Americans, I got all the international brands and missed the more US based brands, Cadillac, Corvette, Lincoln and Buick. I've heard of all of them but they have very little presence outside the US, so I didn't recognise any of the Logos. I suspect most people from outside North America will struggle with them. Apart from Petrol heads, obviously.

Actually, during recent years china and malaysia have been quite a promising market for general motors -particularly for the buick and cadillac brands.

Agree. My understanding is that GM kept the Buick line when it dropped Pontiac and Oldsmobile because Buick was so popular in Asia especially the two countries that you mentioned plus India. Also what makes a one brand more "international" than another. It's all in the marketing and quality of products. Why else would companies like Volvo be so popular in the United States?
