Great quiz, maybe you change the hello written in Bengali to Asalaam Alekum that is আসালামুয়ালাইকুম in Bengali, Bangladeshis would be more happy

Thank you! I've changed it, Google kept insisting it was "Hello" but in Bangla script, perhaps not to favour one religion over the other.

The paths should be the same as the respective English names for these cities, except for Barisal (the path is "barishal").

Great quiz! I find it interesting that Gazipur and Narayanganj are separate from Dhaka. I've heard of those places, but I don't think I've been to either of them, so I never realized they are not technically part of Dhaka (although it does seem that they are part of the Greater Dhaka Agglomeration).

On a different note, is Savar not part of the "citypopulation.de" statistics?

Thank you! They are absolutely part of Greater Dhaka. I find it interesting how even the urban area figures seperate Gazipur and Narayanganj on citypopulation.de's website, while Savar is shown in grey (which I assume means they absorbed it into Dhaka). Citypopulation.de isn't always my favourite source, for a few of reasons... I never get these decisions :/

Bangladeshi here. Gazipur,Narayanganj,Savar,Tongi are not part of Dhaka. They are also not part of Dhaka metro. Gazipur & Narayanganj has it's own city corporation which is different from Dhaka North & South city corporation. Tongi & Savar has it's own municipality which doesn't administered under Dhaka.

I believe you are making a confusion between the city proper and the metro figures. These cities are part of the Dhaka metro area, as they form a contiguous population area, yet they are not a part of Dhaka's city limits as they have their own administration.

great ! citypopulation gives stats about the 9 most populated cities only plus districts and upazillas. In addition, the section about bangladesh administration on wikipedia is a complete mess ! if you have a good source with the data from the 2022 census please send me the link/pdf, thank you. more seriously the quiz isnt perfect but finding data about bangladesh is a total pain and it's actually the same cities + the fact that you have a map to help you. I guess the quiz can be updated as soon as we get reliable information ! (please send if you find some)
