Nice quiz.

More of a challenge than just naming landlocked countries

Nice quiz this, the archery question was very difficult to think of an answer for!

I've witnessed it... they shoot small targets at incredible distances.

Somehow I instinctively knew that one yet failed on some of the other ones of similar or lesser difficulty.

I somehow always forget that Ethiopia doesn't have a coastline. Excellent quiz! Maybe there will be a part two?

I'm the same way about afghanistan. Which is weird because their southern border is nowhere NEAR the Arabian sea.

Interesting, I also was questioning if those two were landlocked in my head. Then upon reading your comment thought surely Afghanistan is at least near the sea, looked at my map, turns out not. Learn something new everyday

Maybe you can change the second hint to larger than country #1 or make it something entirely independent? I was stuck for a while trying to think of a landlocked country that was larger than his northern neighbor.

I thought this was an error in the quiz. Yes, rewording the question would clarify this. Apart from that, I like this quiz a lot. It's very smart.

Maybe you can change the hint for Switzerland? Since Luxembourg is also composed of cantons.

Also Switzerland can't be landlocked because they have a navy

What's the relevance of this? Neither are on the quiz and it wouldn't be 3 words either way...

You could remove the "landlocked" part of the rules and many of these questions would still have only one answer. Switzerland, Austria, Vatican City, Lesotho, South Sudan, North Macedonia, Zimbabwe, and Bhutan would still be the only answers to their questions, and I feel like it takes away from the point of the quiz.

Yes, I agree with this, although it's hard to avoid. Especially the Lesotho question, because it's completely impossible for a country completely surrounded by South Africa to not be landlocked.

One easy way around South Sudan is by using "Established after 2000", since this could also include East Timor if it weren't for the title.

Then Montenegro and Kosovo (which is also landlocked) would apply too

“With a three-word name”: I thought Bosnia and Herzegovina would apply here but there is a 20-kilometers coastline.

Croatia: HOW DARE YOU HAVE A COASTLINE? WE TOOKIT FOR A REASON! MORE MONEY!

Bosnia: ?

Croatia: GET A PASSPORT TO GO TO THE BEACH, NOW!

Bosnia: …Croatia, you do this every time. Even at the line to the water filter, you do this!

Croatia: Hush or you don’t get a passport.

Sucks being old. I keep having to stop and remember that Ethiopia no longer has a coastline. And hasn't for that past 30 years. Thanks to Eritrea.

Just a friendly heads-up regarding question 5: Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, San Marino, Andorra and Vatican City are all also landlocked countries with a population under 100million people, but these answers aren't accepted :)
