The research for this quiz took me very long, it was no simple Wikipedia search. In my search, there were many confounding sources especially with the less travelled countries, for these situations I tried using the most official sources (i.e. govt. sources). Another consideration was domestic travel, for a country like the United States it seems like an obvious inclusion but, for San Marino it's a different story. Because of this type of discrepancy I stuck to only include international travel. For some countries there was only information on airport arrivals, and/or Hotel nights booked, so this information was used. For about dozen entries there was no travel numbers, and no obvious most visited city, for these, I researched the most promoted city to visit, and also considered airport/hotel locations, population, and means of transport. By no way was this an exact science. I welcome any differing sources in order to perfect this quiz. Thank You.
Very interesting quiz. Some countries require a good amount of thought beyond the usual suspects. It could use a little more time, but it's just as easy to click untimed and do it that way. It might screw up the stats, but no biggie.
I feel like the answer for the KSA almost certainly has to be Jeddah... as Mecca has no airport and the millions of pilgrims who go there each year mostly have to go through Jeddah, but Jeddah also has visitors of its own.
It's a good quiz, although I am sceptical about a couple of the answers. For example, Trinidad and Tobago should almost certainly be the Port of Spain metro area (Chaguanas is a newer suburban community without much in terms of attractions or a direct connection from the airport either).
It's a novel idea for a quiz, however, and I can tell that a lot of research went into the quiz overall :)
