Ah, not quite the same thing as 'Guinea', I think Guiana & Guyana come from a native American word for 'land of waters', whereas the word 'Guinea' comes from a European word for western African regions. In any case French Guiana is not a country but a part of France, but it shows you're thinking! :-)
