History - Who Said That?

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I know I have the body but of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart and stomach of a king.

It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.

And so, my fellow Americans: Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do four your country. My fellow citizens of the world: Ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.

There's not a liberal America and a conservative America; there's the United State of America; there's not a Black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there's the United States of America... We are on people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America. In the end, that's what the election is about. Do we participate in a politics of cynicism, or do we participate in a politics of hope?

If it's necessary to form a black nationalist army, we'll form a black nationalist army. It'll be the ballot or the bullet. It'll be liberty or it'll be death.

I want to have time to look for my children, and see how many of them I can find. Maybe I shall find them among the dead. Hear me, my Chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever.

The future doesn't belong to the fainthearted; it belongs to the brave. The Challenger crew was pulling us into the future, and we'll continue to follow them...

In the democracy which I have envisaged, a democracy established by non-violence, there will be equal freedom for all. Everybody will be his own master. It is to join a struggle for such democracy that I invite you today. Once you realize this you will forget the differences between the Hindus and Muslims, and think of yourselves as Indians only, engaged in the common struggle for independence.
