Do you? I'm not sure many people learning Esperanto are doing it because they are going to use it. I think most people are probably just doing it for the fun of it. Although, in the case of Hungary, they are expected to pass high level exams in sometimes two foreign languages to do things like going to university. As Esperanto is allowed as one of those, and is easier to learn than natural languages, some people learn Esperanto and do an exam in it. This is not many people, but still raises the number of speakers significantly, as even fewer people would have learnt it before.
