Baffled as to how the Peel, which was made in tiny numbers, can be more recognised than the Chevette, Dolomite or A30, which were all "common as muck" cars
One was featured on an episode of Top Gear a few years ago, at the height of that shows popularity it was shown in around 100 countries worldwide. I can't think of any other reason if I'm honest. I certainly hadn't heard of it before that programme was aired.
DeLorean was a British built car despite it's ownership.
