I've learnt that today is also the anniversary of three separate shipwrecks that all took place in the Menai Strait; in 1664, 1785, and 1820. In each case there was only one survivor, and supposedly each survivor shared the same name of Hugh Williams! :O

Wow, what a coincidence...Although I know the Menai Straits are a dangerous stretch of water, I used to go canoeing there in my youth many moons ago !
