Even if San Gimignano is Unesco, I think it goes in the remote places category. Plus, with 7000 inhabitants, it's officially a city only for historical reasons.
I get your point: was more like talking about places like ironbridge or french municipality of millau or lake havasu city; maybe should adapt to famous places instead
