York? Seems like the Archbishop of York should have a cathedral.

York has a Minster.

I have now been persuaded that in actual fact York Minster is more of a nickname and according to the Church of England website (and they should know) it is a Cathedral. So apologies to panscedar - now amended.

York is a cathedral city that for historic reasons is called a minster.

It still has an archbishop

You’re also missing Bath and Wells

I have checked the Church of England website and you are correct, so have now amended with the addition of York. However cannot find that Bath & Wells exists outside of the realms of Blackadder - Wells is already included in the quiz. But thank you for your helpful comment.

Windsor has no cathedral.

The list I used to help build this quiz, stated that St. George's chapel, given its royal connections counts as a cathedral. To be honest, I am not entirely sure, but will do some more research.

I think that list must be in error. St. George's Chapel is a royal peculiar, of similar status to Westminster Abbey. It is not the seat of a diocese, and in fact it is within the diocese of Oxford. In the Church of England, a cathedral is the seat of a diocese.

Point taken, and thank you for contributing such useful information. Windsor now removed.

"Name the English Cities which have a Cathedral" is very misleading, as several of the answers are not cities.
