US Naval Aviation Aircraft Codes

They actually do mean something! Given the letter code, answer with the basic mission of the aircraft. (Post-1962 rule change) For example, F = Fighter

Q stands for UAV, not drone. Drones are atonomus robotic

aircraft which are not controlled by humans. The US doesn't have any such devices. Drone is an overused and completely incorrect word for an RC airplane.

Second the critique on Q. I tried RPA, UAV, Remote, Remotely Piloted Aircraft, Unmanned, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle... Never thought of such a plebeian response as "Drone"...
