This is a great quiz, but I was doing the one that starts with alien, and the forth box only shows an O, so it seems impossible. But nominated anyway.

I generated these randomly, so there might be some very hard ones in there indeed. That being said, experience has shown me if there's almost no letters shown it's usually GECKO for some reason

It should not be possible to have multiple answers to one puzzle that are both in the Scrabble dictionary. But if you do find one let me know, then I can check :)

I didn't keep track, but I'm pretty sure there was a puzzle that I found other answers to for the first section. (That one's the easiest to find other possibilities since it contains the fewest letters.)

I got one that had "Knots" as an answer, which I got, but I don't think Wordle allows plurals, so it was confusing.

Do I have bad luck or did you deliberately choose terrible words?

The first word was SIRUP, which is a historical (antiquated) version of SYRUP from when a distinction was made between boiled sap and the end product.

The third word was TALKY, which is an informal adjective most people will never use, as opposed to the more familiar TALKIE, which is a non-silent film.

The fourth word was TAXUS which, believe it or not, is a word: it's a genus of coniferous trees or shrubs, known as "yews".

If they used words like that in the real Wordle, I would have stopped playing it.

Yeah, I'm with you. I got ACIDY (umm, acidic?) and one at least with a british english spelling.

I did implement a filter to kick out a lot of words that are very obscure, but there are indeed still some difficult/obscure ones left. That being said, I generated these randomly so I did not deliberately select these words specifically. I'll have another look soon to see if I can 'clean up' the word database it uses even more
