Figured that now that I had an Aztec and an Inca rulers quiz, I might as well work my way down through other precolumbian states. Not sure how far I might be able to get after this. I suspect I might be able to find something for Tlaxcala, maybe some late mayan states if I am lucky. Not getting any further than that.

As an aside, I find it really cool how Purepecha names visibly differ from the Nahuatl names of Aztec rulers, or names of Mayan rulers. In so much as the Aztec and Mayan languages dominate the western perception of Mesoamerica, Purepecha names look like they come from a completely different tradition.

Structurally, their empire was fairly interesting for a Mesoamerican state as unlike the Aztec, which were pretty decentralized, the Purepecha/Tarascans were a highly centralized monarchy with power consolidated on a single ruler/ and ethnicity, and very little regional autonomy. Basically a Mesoamerican version of a 20th-century European autocracy, or a true nation-state.
