is Kuwait that bad? I realise Qatar is awful, but I always thought of Kuwait as one of the more civilised of this group of nations. iirc it has the best human rights record too (out of saudi, uae, qatar, bahrain, kuwait etc)
Where is Qatar? Why Syria? Because the West doesn't like Al-Assad? I've been to Syria before (in 2009) the uprising and the war, it was as free as most Western countries. In fact, USA should be among the Top 5 after the NSA surveillance controversy was leaked. Other countries that should have made the list (in my opinion) are Cuba and Belarus. Even Singapore is a soft dictatorship.
Why Syria? Is that a joke? Well in case you haven't noticed since 2011 Al Assad hasn't exactly treated protestors well has he? Especially considering how many of them he killed.
I am going to make things very clear! Russia, Cuba and China are all authoritarian regime's thus making them dictatorships. United Arab Emirates is not a dictatorship, if it was then Dubai and Abu Dhabi would all be nothing.
How is it a dictatorship, just because a monarch has full power doesn't mean it is a dictatorship. If it was a dictatorship it wouldnt have become one of the fastest developing countries.
Russia is not a dictatorship. Putin was elected democratically and the citizens have plenty of rights. If Putin was a dictator, people wouldn't be visiting his residence, the Kremlin, as often as they do. Xi Jinping was also elected democratically but he's a different story...
